Singer-songwriter duo Scott Dill and Tara Fisher-Dill are the heart of Gwendolyn Speaks. Cowriters of most of the band's material, their style has been explained as "radio-friendly," "rootsy-pop," and "dreamlike."

Gwendolyn Speaks has released two CDs to date. The first, a four-song EP from 1996 entitled Beyond, was produced by Monk (and former Over the Rhine) guitarist Ric Hordinski. In 1998, the group released This Time, a 12-song effort on the Blue Jordan label produced by Tyler Brown. The band is currently demoing new material for upcoming release.
