| has been writing, recording, and performing music for over a decade now. He has toured all across North America and Europe and has released three solo records as well as a previous release with his former band; The Marshwiggles. David's 1997 release with the Marshwiggles, 'Stone Soup', received national airplay and critical acclaim. In 1999 David released his first solo CD 'Tales From Thom Scarecrow' and won Artist of the Year at the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards. 'Tales' received international airplay and critical praise as well. In 2000 David was voted by the writers and the readers of Cincinnati Citysearch Songwriter of the Year and in 2001 joined talented songwriters Victoria Williams and Mark Olson as a member of their band The Creekdippers. He also managed to release another successful solo CD on Blue Jordan Records that year entitled; "The World of the Satisfyn' Place". In 2006 Fundamental Records will release his third CD entitled; Portrait Of Narcissus. His music has been called spiritual and intellectual, strange bedfellows in the world of contemporary music. His lyrics are sprinkled with shady characters and aesopian morals while remaining lighthearted in their 'deliverance' live. Live shows often are an outlet for improvisation as David and the band switch instruments and change songs show to show. David has shared the stage with a wide variety of people from Green Day and Alanis Morrisette to Gillian Welch and The Blind Boys of Alabama. In addition he has performed with the likes of Michelle Shocked and Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum. |
